RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Date Extended
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways have released the official notification for CEN 09/2025 to recruit candidates for 22,195 Level-1 (Group D) posts across various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.
The online application process started on 31 January 2026 and the last date to apply has been extended to 9 March 2026 (11:59 PM).

RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
- ITI or equivalent qualification (if specified in detailed notification).
- Qualification must be valid as on closing date.
Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST – 5 Years
- OBC-NCL – 3 Years
- PwBD – 10 to 15 Years

RRB Group D Selection Process 2026
Selection will be conducted in the following stages:
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Document Verification (DV)
Medical Examination
RRB Group D CBT Exam Pattern
The CBT is expected to include:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- Mathematics
- General Science
- General Awareness & Current Affairs
- Duration: 90 Minutes
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deduction per wrong answer
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates qualifying CBT will appear for PET.
- Male Candidates: 35 kg weight lifting + 1000m run
- Female Candidates: 20 kg weight lifting + 1000m run

RRB Group D Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be placed in:
- Pay Level-1 (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
- Initial Basic Pay: ₹18,000/- per month
