Objectives of PM Vishwakarma Scheme
The main objective of the scheme is to support artisans and traditional craftsmen by improving their skills, productivity, and income opportunities.

- Recognize artisans as “Vishwakarma” through official certificate and ID card
- Provide skill training and upgradation programs

Implementing Agencies
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme is jointly implemented by:

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
1. Recognition
Beneficiaries will receive:
- PM Vishwakarma Certificate
- PM Vishwakarma ID Card
- Digital recognition as a registered artisan
2. Skill Training
Beneficiaries will receive skill training in two phases:
- Basic Training: 5–7 days (40 hours)
- Advanced Training: 15 days (120 hours)
Training Stipend: ₹500 per day
3. Toolkit Incentive
Registered beneficiaries will receive:
- ₹15,000 financial assistance to purchase modern tools and equipment.
4. Credit Support (Loan Facility)
The scheme provides collateral-free business loans:

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
- Must be an artisan or craftsperson working with traditional tools
- Must work in the unorganized sector
- Must belong to one of the 18 traditional family-based trades
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Must be actively working in the relevant trade at the time of registration
- Only one member per family can apply
Ineligible Candidates
The following applicants are not eligible:
- Government employees
- Family members of government employees
- Applicants who have taken loans under schemes like:
- PMEGP
- PM SVANidhi
- Mudra Loan
in the last 5 years
Application Process
Applications can be submitted online through Common Service Centres (CSCs).
Step 1 – Registration
- Visit the official portal pmvishwakarma.gov.in
- Click on Login → CSC Register Artisans
- Complete Aadhaar verification using OTP
- Enter Aadhaar number and mobile number
- Continue with registration process
Step 2 – Application Form
- Visit the nearest CSC centre
- Complete biometric verification
- Fill the online application form
- Upload required documents
- Submit the application
- Save the Application Number for reference
Step 3 – Verification Process
Applications will go through three verification stages:
- Verification at Gram Panchayat / Urban Local Body level
- District Implementation Committee review
- Final approval by Screening Committee
Benefit Distribution
After approval, the beneficiary will receive:
- PM Vishwakarma Digital Certificate
- PM Vishwakarma ID Card
- Access to training, loan, toolkit and marketing benefits
