Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 & Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) Recruitment 2027

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially started the recruitment process for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 and Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant) Intake 02/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. The recruitment invites online applications from eligible unmarried Indian male and female candidates for Agniveervayu posts, while the Medical Assistant vacancies are open to eligible Indian and Gorkha (Nepal) male candidates.

The online application window is open from 6 July 2026 to 26 July 2026 through the official CASB Recruitment Portal. Candidates who fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications, age criteria, and medical standards can complete the registration process online. The STAR Phase-I Online Examination is scheduled to be conducted on 22 and 23 September 2026.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to all categories are required to pay the prescribed examination fee online.

The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid through the online payment gateway.

Age Limit

Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027

Candidates should be born between 1 July 2005 and 1 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).

Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant)

• 10+2 Candidates: Maximum age 21 years.
• Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy Candidates: Maximum age 24 years.

Candidates must satisfy all age conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Educational Qualification

Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027

Candidates must have passed:

• 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Mathematics and English securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or
• Equivalent vocational or diploma qualification recognized by the Government.

Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant)

Candidates should possess:

• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, or
• Diploma/B.Pharma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with prescribed minimum marks as mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages.

Phase-I

• Online Written Examination

Phase-II

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Adaptability Test-I
• Adaptability Test-II

Phase-III

• Medical Examination

Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed further in the selection process.

Exam Pattern

Phase-I Online Examination

Marking Scheme

• +1 for every correct answer.
• -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
• No marks for unanswered questions.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates shortlisted for Phase-II must qualify the Physical Fitness Test.

Male Candidates

• 1.6 Km Run – Within 7 Minutes

Female Candidates

• 1.6 Km Run – Within 8 Minutes

Candidates will also have to qualify:

• Push-ups
• Sit-ups
• Squats

as per the standards prescribed by the Indian Air Force.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected Agniveervayu candidates will receive a customized monthly package under the Agnipath Scheme.

After successfully completing four years of service, eligible Agniveers will receive the Seva Nidhi Package along with other applicable benefits as per Government rules.
